The music business may at times be a little quick to talk of a “supergroup” or an “all-star line-up”. For the newly formed Power Metal quintet Fearless V, however, such a label really does apply. With five successful musicians whose careers include long-standing membership of internationally experienced bands such as Primal Fear, Gamma Ray, Voodoo Circle, The Unity or Rock meets Classic, a truly prominent line-up has come together here: Alex Beyrodt (guitar), Tom Naumann (guitar), Michael Ehré (drums), Alex Jansen (bass) and singer Gianbattista “Jan” Manenti. Connoisseurs of the scene will smack their lips with relish at these names alone, and everyone else will prick up their ears at the latest when the new band's first songs start doing the rounds. And that will be the case very soon!

After their departure from Primal Fear, which was covered at length across all media, Beyrodt, Naumann, Ehré and Jansen lost no time in completing their top-class line-up with Manenti and starting work on their debut album. The stylistic direction was clear from the outset: a mix of powerful Power Metal and modern metal influences in which the musical past of everyone involved cannot be denied, but is skilfully expanded with forward-looking elements. Fearless V benefit from several strong songwriters who, with their respective musical backgrounds, give the band's sound its own distinctive touch. At the centre, of course, is the powerful, deeply melodic voice of Gianbattista “Jan” Manenti, while the Fearless V songs also impress with the perfectly attuned guitar duo Beyrodt/Naumann, with their years of live experience and compositionally strong metal DNA, as well as with the tightly interlocking grooves of the rhythm section of Ehré and Jansen.

But Fearless V are already superbly set up not only artistically but also organisationally: following negotiations with several interested record labels, a lucrative contract is ready to be signed, and a suitable booking agency has also been found. So nothing stands in the way of the planned release of their (currently still untitled) debut album in early 2027. Fearless V will shorten the wait until the album release – often hard for fans to bear – with two, possibly even three advance singles. At the same time, plans for festival appearances and club shows from summer 2026 are in full swing. So a lot is going to happen in the coming months – you should definitely keep your eyes and ears open!
