About Ravenfield
The southern German dark rockers take you on a journey to the dark side of the soul with their second album PAIN … and back again! In eerily oppressive times, in which nothing seems as constant as uncertainty, fear, grief and pain, you long deeply for a trustworthy friend. For a true friend who holds your hand and resolutely accompanies you through the long night. With their new album PAIN, RAVENFIELD make nothing less than exactly that possible! PAIN is the fitting soundtrack to our present, which has become so unsettled. Deeply serious Dark Rock that breathes a velvety, soul-stirring charisma with all its heart. Ten songs full of intense emotions, heartache, grief and anger that unmistakably act like anthemic liberating blows – dark music that gets under your skin, with no room for superficiality. PAIN was recorded and produced at the tried-and-tested DarklandStudios by long-experienced End Of Green frontman MICHELLE DARKNESS. The result is stirring songs that roll into your ears with relishable elegance. With outstanding vocal performances too, RAVENFIELD deliver whole series of pleasant goosebump moments on this album. And so the ballad “The Pain” features a gripping duet between Polo and master of the low notes Darkness, in which you can almost touch the tormenting pain and agonising grief. (Markus Eck)
