About Front Row Warriors

Front Row Warriors – 80s melodic Hard Rock skilfully flirts with an AOR flair and impresses with an exceptional, powerful-voiced female singer and a crowd-pleasing sound. Miracles take a little longer, and so in 2019 six highly experienced musicians and friends from southern German bands came together to give today's Melodic Metal scene a real shake-up once more. With plenty of passion and compositions that need not fear comparison with the greats of the scene, they are currently thrilling not only the international specialist press with their debut album “Wheel of Fortune”, released in June 2023 on ROAR, now rpm-Roar, but also the hearts of the fans live on stage. The band is excellent at reproducing the era of the 80s and the AOR of the 90s in their very melodic songs, spicing it all up with up-tempo numbers and anthemic choruses that make you want to sing along, the whole thing rounded off by polished guitar and keyboard work. Singer Elkie Gee (formerly Ampyre) is very versatile – at times ultra-soulful in ballads, then heavy and dramatic again, but always stylish – and skilfully ventures up to enormous heights in which her passion for Power Metal becomes audible. Guitarist Sorin Badin (formerly Samsara, Crystal Maze) from Romania has an idiosyncratic style and shines again and again with captivating solos, which are often played perfectly in two-part harmony with guitarist Stef Binnig-Gollub, who otherwise shreds with Septagon. The keyboard work comes from Richie Seibel, who should be no stranger to those who know the scene; he plays keys for Ivanhoe and Them and provides the perfect complement in the FRW songs. The rhythm section is made up of Jay-G, who formerly manned the drums for Sharon and Shining, and bassist Timo Michels, who played bass for Pump, among others. That these are practically professionals at work quickly becomes clear when you experience the band and their varied music live, currently at many festivals in Germany and abroad. The debut album was co-produced by Michael Bormann and mixed by Achim Köhler, and Patrick W. Engel gave the debut its mastering; the album, which was released as a digipak and limited blue vinyl, was voted “Hard Rock Album 2023” by the German Rock and Pop Musicians' Association in 2023. Uwe Jarling was commissioned with the cover artwork. The band is planning to release the follow-up in 2025 and is already busy with pre-production; a tour is also being planned.
