About The New Roses
The THE NEW ROSES story began in 2013 in the tranquil Rheingau.
With the title track of their debut album “Without A Trace”, Timmy Rough and his comrades-in-arms landed on the compilation of the US cult biker TV series “Sons Of Anarchy”, thereby also supplying the song for the “Sons Of Anarchy” DVD trailer campaign in Germany.
Since then, things have steadily gone uphill: in the following years the band played hundreds of shows at home and abroad, signed a deal with Napalm Records (Universal) and has so far released 4 further albums, all of which enjoyed high chart positions. The 2019 album "Nothing But Wild", featuring the rock radio hit "Down By The River", reached #10 in the German album charts!
Musically, THE NEW ROSES are pure explosive dynamite, taking their cue from role models such as Guns N´Roses, AC/DC, Kid Rock, Metallica or The Black Crowes, but in a style all of their own. This musical concept makes THE NEW ROSES one of the few contemporary German rock bands with a presence on international soil.
Their tours have taken the band to, among others, the biggest festivals in Europe such as Hellfest (FR), Sweden Rock (SE), Hard Rock Hell (UK), Masters Of Rock (CZ) and Rockfest Barcelona (ES), where they shared the stage with greats such as Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, The Scorpions, KISS and many more. The latter repeatedly invited THE NEW ROSES to their KISS Kruise in Miami (as the only German band ever!) and as special guests for a whole series of shows on their "End Of The Road" World Tour.
Further highlights were concert trips to Russia (2019) and Afghanistan (2017), where the band performed at Camp Marmal (Mazar-e-Sharif) for the international forces of the "Resolute Support" mission.
2022 and 2023 were all about the new album "Sweet Poison", which once again reached the top 20 of the German album charts. Since the release of the new long-player, THE NEW ROSES have been touring practically non-stop – be it shows with KISS, headline tours, touring in the UK, Scandinavia, Benelux, Switzerland and Austria, or an immense number of festivals all over Europe.
THE NEW ROSES are currently busy recording their new album, which will be released in autumn 2024. As part of the album release, THE NEW ROSES will tour both nationally and internationally in the autumn. Until then, THE NEW ROSES can still be seen at a whole series of festivals. All signs point to storm!
