About Omnium Gatherum
Since their formation in 1996 in Kotka, Finland, Omnium Gatherum have stood for technically demanding, melodic death metal with a unique blend of dark atmosphere, catchy hooks and brutal energy. With their debut "Spirits and August Light" (2003) they set standards early on, but it was albums such as "Stuck Here on Snakes Way" (2007), "New World Shadows" (2011) and "The Burning Cold" (2018) that made them one of the leading bands of modern melodeath.
Their sound combines aggressive guitar riffs, epic keyboards, guttural growls and clean vocal passages – a perfect balance between heaviness and melody. Live, Omnium Gatherum are an unstoppable force: whether as support for Amorphis, Dark Tranquillity or Insomnium, at major festivals such as Wacken Open Air or on their own headline tours – their shows are intense, technically brilliant and full of passion.
With their current album "Sliding Towards the End" (2023) they prove once again why, for more than 25 years, they have been among the most important representatives of Finnish metal: uncompromising, innovative and always one step ahead.
