About Cave
With their second album "…Into The Promised Land", CAVE open a new chapter in 2026. Plenty of stage experience, a new frontman and a sound between epic heavy rock and progressive metal give the band new energy, a clear direction and a tangible drive forward.
CAVE is the result of a collaboration between experienced musicians who have been active in the German and international metal scene for many years. Founded by guitarist Chris Lorey, the project follows a clear musical vision: old-school hard ’n’ heavy as the foundation, complemented by progressive elements and carried by a modern, punchy production.
With their debut album "Out Of The Cave" (2024), the band already made a clear statement and won over both the specialist press and fans. The subsequent tour through Germany and Switzerland also made it clear that CAVE play to their strengths not only in the studio but just as much on stage: precise, high-energy and rousing.
At the same time, the next step in their development also revealed the practical challenges of the music business. Permanently integrating a US-based singer into a German band structure proved organisationally difficult. After the amicable split from Ronny Munroe (ex-Metal Church), CAVE therefore stood at an important turning point — and made a decision that sends a clear signal.
With Tommy Laasch, probably one of the most underrated German metal singers took over the microphone. Known from CHINCHILLA and highly respected in the scene, he complements CAVE’s sound ideally with his powerful yet melodic voice.
As an expression of mutual respect, Ronny Munroe nevertheless remains part of the new release: his voice can still be heard on the CD bonus track "Obsession".
