About Mission in Black
Mission in Black are among the most powerful Melodic Death Metal bands in Germany. Since their formation in 2010 they have been developing a sound that unites metallic heaviness, thrashy energy and epic depth. Particularly defining is the versatile voice of singer Steffi Stuber, who switches effortlessly between aggressive growls and clean, emotional singing. Their music combines crushing headbanger riffs, harmonic guitar leads and a hard-hitting rhythm section into a modern, high-energy whole.
Over the years the band has consistently honed its style: the demo Black Infect (2011) and the debut Anthems of a Dying Breed (2018) were followed in 2023 by their second album Profit Reigns Supreme, which further sharpened their direction, at once melodic and aggressive. The mix of Melodic Death and Thrash Metal, refined by modern production and Stuber’s distinctive vocals, was well received by the scene and cemented their reputation as a powerful and mature band.
Live, Mission in Black impress with an intense presence, hard-hitting playing and a high-energy atmosphere that has sparked enthusiasm at festivals such as Summer Breeze and at numerous club shows. Their stage performance underlines the musical force and emotional dynamics that characterise their songs.
