About Serenity

SERENITY are back with a new opus and once again embark on a symphonic journey through time! Nemesis AD is a worthy successor to the hit album The Last Knight (2020), which reached number 25 in the German charts. Having won over Marco Pastorino (Temperance) as an additional guitarist and backing vocalist, Austria's SERENITY whisk listeners away to the world of the Renaissance on their new studio album, which will be released on 27 October 2023 via Napalm Records. In terms of content, they devote themselves to the life and art of the famous German painter Albrecht Dürer and present their own musical interpretation of it.

With the furious opener “Memoriae Alberti Dureri”, SERENITY set the pace for the entire album right away. It is immediately followed by the no less impressive “The Fall of Man”, on which the band is joined by the brilliant singer Roy Khan (Conception, ex-Kamelot). On “Ritter, Tod und Teufel”, a track named after a work by Dürer, the symphonic metallers have a special surprise in store: for the first time in their 20-year success story, they perform in German! The track is underpinned by electrifying guitar riffs, orchestral arrangements and powerful vocal passages. The emotional “Reflections (of AD)” captivates the listener with rapid shifts between excellent instrumentation and multifaceted vocals, while singer Georg Neuhauser's fantastic performance on “Sun of Justice” carries you off to faraway worlds. The album closes with the dark track “The End of Babylon” and the impressive orchestral version of “The Fall of Man”, which gives you goosebumps! With their new studio album Nemesis AD, SERENITY add a bombastic Symphonic Metal masterpiece to their considerable discography and once again underline their established status in the scene.
