About Burning Witches
BURNING WITCHES, founded in 2015, are not just one of the hottest exports from Switzerland. No, these Swiss women are one of the most interesting newcomer bands in old-school Heavy Metal of recent years – worldwide! The band already enchanted the metal press with their first single “Burning Witches” (2016) and were named “Demo of the Month” by the German Metal Hammer and Rock Hard. Their powerful Heavy Metal, which combines influences from power, speed and traditional metal, impresses above all through the great songwriting of band founder Romana and singer Seraina, as well as through the singer's powerful vocals, which are often compared to the legendary Rob Halford (JUDAS PRIEST). It comes as no surprise that this great talent led to a spectacular self-titled debut album, released in 2017. With it, the Swiss band attracted the attention not only of the traditional Heavy Metal audience but also of one of the heavyweights of the scene, Nuclear Blast Records, who quickly signed the band.
